You will gain real life experience! An intern is expected to work a designated amount of time determined by the manager towards a completion of one or more projects. An intern’s hours are flexible. As an intern, you will be given real work with problems to solve. You will be working alongside a full-time employee as part of a team. Specific duties are determined by the nature of the project. Mentorship is an important part of working in a company and perhaps the biggest learning opportunity as an intern is getting to work closely with an experienced member of the team. You will have daily contact with your “mentor” and you will frequently interact with your manager.
How is the project determined? The intern works together with their manager to select a project or combination of projects that suits the needs of the intern and the company. The manager and mentor work closely with the intern throughout the term of the project to provide guidance and assistance.
