Senior QA Analyst/Engineer

Summary

This position is a member of the Engineering team. The Senior QA Analyst/Engineer will run QA processes, manual and automated test, log software defects into the defect tracking system, and work with the development team and other members of the QA team to reduce software defects. The candidate would also require running sanity tests on the production environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • The candidate will be responsible for designing test plans and cases.
  • Actively participate in the QA process and creating automated test cases using QTP.
  • Should work closely with the developers to isolate and resolve issues.
  • Work closely with QA team members to understand the product before automation.
  • Must be able to suggest, implement, and evaluate approaches to testing.
  • Manage time and resources and be flexible while working in a rapid software development environment.
  • Expertise in QA processes and setting up test harness.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years Experience in Software Quality Assurance
  • 2-3 Years experience with preferably QTP and/or other automation tools.
  • Knowledge of Eggplant a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent a plus.
